KC Symphony brings team mascots together for The Orchestra Games this Sunday

TEAM MASCOTS JOIN KC SYMPHONY FOR SUNDAY’S “ORCHESTRA GAMES” FAMILY CONCERT This Sunday, April 21 at 2:30PM Helzberg Hall, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts 16th & Broadway, Downtown Kansas City
KANSAS CITY – The Kansas City Symphony invites your family to explore the personalities of various instruments while getting acquainted with basic musical elements as you sprint through an Olympic array of events, such as the Low Note Limbo and the Fast Note Dash. Enjoy a reading of Casey at the Bat, sing along with “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and stand for the Seventh Inning Stretch!
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite sports gear. Mascots from KU, MU and K-State, plus Sluggerrr from the Kansas City Royals, KC Wolf from the Kansas City Chiefs, Blue from Sporting KC and others will entertain during and after the concert. Special guest narrators include Kansas City-based theatrical performer Alex Espy and Mike McCartney, longtime stadium announcer for the Kansas City Royals. Tickets start at just $12 each for children and are available now through the Kansas City Symphony Box Office by calling (816) 471-0400, or select seats online at www.kcsymphony.org. The Kansas City Symphony’s Family Series of 4 concerts are designed to be both fun and educational, appropriate for children from 4 to 12 years old. The Symphony strives to make these concerts entertaining and affordable for families, with Family Series season subscriptions starting at just $10 for children, with each paid adult Family subscription.
