Book Party for 50 plus planned at Antioch Library on April 25
A free book party is being planned for April 25 at the Antioch Library, 8700 Shawnee Mission Parkway. This program is being presented by the Johnson County Library and the Johnson County Park & Recreation District's 50 Plus Department.
Participants are invited to read what they'd like and then come and discus their new favorite book. Each person will have time to talk about a book and their will also be time at the end for general discussion. Refreshments will be served. The book party will take place beginning at 2 p.m. This one-hour program is free and preregistration is not required.
To find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under 50 plus and then under hobbies and special interests. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “reading.”
While the JCPRD's 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the district's Registration Department at (913) 831-3359, and if space is available without forfeiting the place of a person over 50, their registration can be taken.
The JCPRD Activities catalog, is available for pickup at all Johnson County Library branches. For more information, call (913) 831-3359. For updated program listings, visit the district's website at www.jcprd.com
