Marillac Board appoints Jerry Jensen president and CEO

OVERLAND PARK, KS - On Monday, March 25, the Marillac Board of Directors announced that Gerald (Jerry) Jensen would be joining the organization as the agency’s new President and CEO.

Jensen brings over three decades of executive level experience to Marillac, having served in leadership roles with a range of complex nonprofit organizations and multi-campus higher education systems.

A Kansas native, Jensen recently led Siskin Children’s Institute, a Chattanooga, Tennessee-based nonprofit focusing on meeting the behavioral and physical health needs of children with disabilities. As President and CEO of Siskin, Jensen oversaw a period of dramatic expansion for the organization, leading the creation of a both a regional Center for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and the Siskin Center for Child and Family Research.

Through a variety of strategic partnerships including arrangements with the regional Children’s Hospital, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and other local Colleges, Jensen helped to establish Siskin as the regional leader in their field.

“Jerry brings a wealth of expertise to Marillac,” said Joshua Eckrich, Chair of Marillac’s Board of Directors. “We are confident that under his direction, Marillac will continue to be the premier provider of psychiatric treatment services for children and adolescents in the greater Kansas City Area.”

“I am excited to welcome Jerry to the Cornerstones of Care Leadership Team and believe his experience and expertise will be a benefit to our entire system of care,” stated Denise Cross, President/CEO of Cornerstones of Care.

“I am truly honored to have been provided this opportunity,” said Jensen. “Marillac is an incredible organization with deep roots and a rich history. I look forward to working with the incredible staff here as we move towards strengthening and expanding our programs and services. I will also particularly enjoy working with the University of Kansas School of Medicine in building a center of excellence to meet the ever changing needs of this community.”
