KC Pet Project ½ Price Adoptions - Intake of 160 Pets in One Week
Kansas City, MO – Don’t spend this Easter with the Cadbury bunny; instead adopt a furry friend who will love you in return! KC Pet Project is offering ½ price adoption fees on all pets 1 year of age and older this Saturday, March 30th at both of our Pet Adoption Center locations! Adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and 30 days of shelter pet insurance. Also, KC Pet Project will be participating in the Zona Rosa Easter Parade on Saturday at 11:00am. Many of our great dogs available for adoption will be featured in this fun parade!
Over the past 7 days, the KC Pet Project has taken in over 160 new dogs and cats; with 64 having arrived in just the past 48 hours. This means the shelter is full and more lost and homeless pets from Kansas City are arriving every day. So many wonderful dogs and cats are looking for forever homes this Easter holiday, including purebred and small breed dogs, puppies, kittens, laid-back lap cats, and great family dogs of all shapes and sizes. Saturday’s ½ price adoption event at the KC Pet Project is the perfect time to add a new furry family member!
Not able to adopt a new pet right now? Fostering a shelter pet, like adopting, not only saves the life of the pet that you are fostering, it saves the life of the next animal coming into the shelter. If you are interested in becoming a short term foster family for the KC Pet Project, you can sign up directly on their website at http://kcpetproject.org/online-foster-application/. Kitten and puppy season is going on now and KCPP is actively seeking foster homes that would be interested in caring for litters as they come into the shelter.
Both the main shelter location and the Pet Adoption Center in Zona Rosa are open seven days a week. Both of the KC Pet Project locations will be closed on Easter Sunday. To view all of the available pets at the KC Pet Project, please go to the website at www.kcpetproject.org. For more information or to schedule interviews, on-site remotes, or photos of dogs and cats available for adoption, please contact Tori Fugate, Manager of Marketing and Development, at 816.513.9818.
