The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City to host annual award dinner gala on Thursday, May 9th, 2013

The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City is hosting 10th Annual CelebrASIAN Award Dinner Gala. This year’s event will be held at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel located at 6100 College Boulevard, Overland Park, KS 66211 on Thursday, May 9th, 2013 beginning at 5:30 PM.

The AACC will be honoring the accomplishments of local Asian Americans in business, community service, philanthropy and professional leadership. Awards to be presented at the Gala include: Entrepreneur of the Year, Professional Leader of the Year, Life-time achievement award, Corporation of the Year and Top Foreign Direct Investor of the Year. In addition, a comedy show and cultural performance will take place and dinner will be served.

This year’s guest entertainer is Daniel Nainan. He is a nationally recognized stand-up comedian, and has toured with Russell Peters and performed with notable comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Saget, Brad Garrett and many more. His audiences have included President Obama, Hillary Clinton, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Donald Trump, Tony Blair’s wife Cherie, and many other celebrities.

Terry Bassham, President and CEO of Great Plains Energy, KCP&L, will serve as honorary chair.
