Leawood boutique to host Fine Art Trunk Show March 27

March 20, 2013 – Overland Park, KS – Hundreds of framed, original oil paintings will be featured at a Fine Art Trunk Show Wednesday, March 27 at the Madden-McFarland Furniture & Design Boutique. Paul Robinson, Inc. will present the art, which includes styles ranging from classic to contemporary. An art purveyor since 1969, Paul Robinson, Inc. has developed a reputation as a leading source for art by some of the finest artists internationally. Malva, Christian Nesvadba and Gerhard Nesvadba, Lucian Delarue, Jeannine Albert, De Vogel, Jean Pierre Dubord, Peter Van Berkel, and Erich Paulsen are among the high profile artists the firm represents and who will be featured in the Fine Art Trunk Show. In addition to works by notables, all who attend the event will be able to see and purchase works by emerging talents.

Paul Robinson’s history as a purveyor of fine art runs parallel to that of Madden-McFarland. Since the partnership was forged in 1969, art has been emphasized by the firm’s interior designers and in its retail furniture boutique. “Without art, a home is just a home,” says Bernie Madden. “It’s what gives its home a unique personality and flair.” The boutique features a broad array of styles, genres and media to accommodate individual preferences. “We don’t take the ‘art by the yard’ approach to interior design,” says Patrick Madden. “We encourage clients to choose art that speaks them, that has meaning.” The boutique uses an annual trunk show as a vehicle to give Kansas City area art patrons larger selections than boutique space allows and to present a broader range price points. “Clients at our trunk shows see a lot of look for their money,” says Madden. The Fine Art Trunk Show is Wednesday, March 27 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Madden-McFarland Furniture & Design Boutique located on the southwest corner of the 135th & State Line intersection.
