Convoy of Hope “Running with Convoy 5K” and Walk scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2013, goal to raise funds and awareness for Children’s Feeding Initiative

Kansas City, MO: The Convoy of Hope “Running with Convoy 5K” and Walk is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Arrowhead Stadium, 1 Arrowhead Dr., Kansas City, MO 64129

Race registration and sign in begin at 8:00 am. The race and walk begin at 9:00 am. Runners and walkers may pre-register at

Funds from the race will benefit Convoy of Hope which provides hope through a Children’s Feeding Initiative, community outreaches, disaster response, and partner resourcing. Currently more than 120,000 children are a part of our Children’s Feeding initiative in seven different countries. This program provides clean and safe drinking water, nutrition and hygiene education, agricultural initiatives and healthy living environments.

Race Registration Fees: Adult early registration, $25.00 - $30.00 day of event. Youth - ages 7-17 $10.00 - $15.00 day of event. Children - ages 6 and under – Free. Each runner will receive a t-shirt, a running bib, a GPS tracking chip, and a first-hand look at where Convoy dollars are serving. Children under 7 may register as a youth to receive t shirt and bib.

Spectators are invited to watch the race. Admittance is free. Convoy is hosting a special tasting of ethnic foods at the race. There will be a children’s play area. Donations to Convoy of Hope are welcome at the race.
