Independent Immigration Film to screen in Kansas City.

Kansas City- The independent film "An American House" will be screening at the Screenland Cinema in downtown Kansas City on Thursday, March 21st. Rockhurst University is sponsoring a night of film and discussion regarding immigration in America. Filmmakers Chris Trani and JD Schuyler will be on hand to discuss their film and the implications of providing humanitarian aid to undocumented migrants in America.

"An American House" looks at the work of Annunciation House, a shelter that houses and feeds undocumented immigrants from all of the world. Critics see the shelter as a safe haven for those who have entered America illegally, while advocates see it as a Christian response to the poor in migration. The venue opens at 6 p.m., programming starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
