STEP UP FUNDRAISER SUPPORTING TOPEKA MOVING AHEAD PROGAM, EXPECTING SUCCESS, & CUSTOM COMPUTER TRAINING

DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLINE

Kansas Legal Services is hosting an online fundraiser for Step Up, a non-profit organization supporting their employment training programs: Topeka Moving Ahead Program (T-MAP), Expecting Success (ES), and Custom Computer Training (CCT). Recent funding cuts have significantly impacted these programs; the number of services provided in the past will no longer be affordable.

The fundraiser is available for donations now and will continue to be available throughout the year. Our total goal for the year is $2,000. With this money we will be able to provide cultural literacy programs, updated computer software for students, updated classroom materials and transportation.

T-MAP, ES, & CCT offer many needed services for low-income individuals as well as those experiencing homelessness. These programs share a main goal of helping students access resources and develop the skills needed to find and maintain a new job, excel in a current job, and/or find adequate housing. Each program also offers additional services: •T-MAP Individualized case management, life skills, legal assistance & on-the-job internships •ES Parenting skills, pregnancy prevention, budgeting& job readiness •CCT Training on Microsoft Office, Windows and internet use.

*Donations can also be sent directly to the agency (we can only accept cash or check)
