The first and only stationary bike race in Kansas City benefits the Mid America MS Achievement Center. The majority of the people who attend the Center are on disability and can only afford to pay a nominal fee. The Center has to raise the rest of the funds. That's where the Race to Nowhere comes in. Almost 100% of the proceeds from the event go to fund the much-needed therapy provided to the people who come to the Center.
The races are 30-minute timed events. They start every 45 minutes. People can sign up as an individual or get a team together to compete. It's open to riders of all skill levels.

About the Mid America MS Achievement Center The Mid America MS Achievement Center was established in 1995 with the mission of opening a center to provide therapeutic services for individuals with a progressive form of MS. The Center is only one of four like Centers in the entire United States. A professional team comprised of a neurologist, a psychologist, and physical, occupational and recreational therapists provide specialized programming for individuals to retain their functional ability and provide emotional support. The Center is a one-day-a-week clinic where a group of seven participants receive one hour each of physical therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, and a psychologist-run support group.
