Operation USO Support Kansas

The Kansas Association of Broadcasters is coordinating a fund raising event for the USO in Kansas all day Monday February 4th. Radio and TV stations across Kansas will be broadcasting segments asking Kansans to donate to the USO, which provides programs and services to our nation’s troops and their families. Although USO Fort Riley is based out of the installation, the USO offers services across the state. Nearly 50 stations - including KCTV 5 - will be participating on Monday beginning at 7am until 7pm through newscasts, regular announcements, and live programming. Anyone donating $25 or more will receive a USO t-shirt.
The USO lifts the spirits of America’s troops and their families millions of times each year at hundreds of places worldwide. It provides a touch of home through centers at airports and military bases in the U.S. and abroad. The USO also provides critical support to those who need it most, including forward-deployed troops, military families, wounded warriors and their families and the families of the fallen. The USO is a private, nonprofit organization, not a government agency. All of its programs and services are made possible by the American people, support of our corporate partners and the dedication of USO volunteers and staff.
If you would like to help the USO through a donation you can call 1-855-876-4438 or go online at www.uso.org/donatekansas The KAB is a statewide trade association serving a membership of free-over-the-air radio and television broadcast stations. #
