Larson Binkley to host first “First Friday” in Crossroads Art District

After its recent move to Kansas City’s Crossroads Art District, Larson Binkley is excited to participate in the area’s “First Fridays” this March. The engineering firm has chosen to host Nebraska artist Courtney Kenny as it’s first artist. Kenny has exhibited work throughout Nebraska, Kansas, Illinois, and New York. However, this is her first exhibit in Kansas City’s Crossroads Art District. Kenny’s exhibit, entitled “Look Again”, challenges viewers to question normality, plausibility, irony, and satire. The onlooker must discern what is simply as it seems, and what is not. She believes that there is something to be gained by looking a second time at all artwork literally, and all situations in life metaphorically. The exhibit will run from March 1st through March 29th, with its opening reception on March 1st from 6 – 9 pm during First Fridays. Larson Binkley is located at 310 W. 20th St.
