Red Bull Thre3style Kansas City - Jan 26

Kansas City, MO —January 26, 2013 — Despite a week of near freezing temperatures in the Midwest, Red Bull Thre3style brought the heat. On Saturday night, more than 2000 people packed into The Uptown Theater for an epic DJ battle. Seven buses from Manhattan, Lawrence, Kansas City, and St. Louis dropped off over 350 party-rocking college students. Setting the energy early was reigning Red Bull Thre3Style 2012 World Champion Four Color Zack. “This is the largest Thre3style crowd I’ve ever seen,” said Zack, “And a very good looking one at that.” Hosting the evening was Fox 4 TV personalities Shawn Edwards and Macradee Aegerter. “Red Bull Thre3Style put Kansas City on the music map,” said Shawn. “Thre3style was one of the most incredible events ever held in this city.”

The competition’s prestigious panel of judges was comprised of: Four Color Zack, Scribe, and old school legend DJ Joc Max. Each DJ was scored on stage presence, audience response, track selection, mixing skills, and creativity.

Speaking of his victory, DJ Spinstyles explained his winning tactics. “I just wanted to be creative,” he said. “All the other competitors were super technical, so I tried things that no one else would do.” Looking to steal another win and advance in the competition, DJ Spinstyles will compete on the road at the Red Bull Thre3style Regional Final held in Dallas, TX on February 23.
