Award-winning music artist Caleb McGinn to sing in Kansas State Capitol for Kansas Day

Short: Kansas based singer/songwriter Caleb McGinn to sing Home on the Range in the Senate Chamber to celebrate Kansas Day

Topeka, KS January 29, 2013: Caleb McGinn, the 2012 International Acoustic Music Awards first place recipient will perform Home on the Range at 2:30pm in the Kansas State Senate Chamber to celebrate Kansas Day. This will also be one of many stops along his 2013 national tour. McGinn has also chosen Kansas Day to release his brand new music video for his song “Bigger Picture.” The video can be seen at The video is also the title track to his most recent CD, which was recorded in Nashville, TN with producer Jeremy McCoy (The Fray). Since it’s release in late 2011, it has garnered the attention of music fans from across the world. So much so that in 2012, McGinn released a fan video in which fans from all over the world submitted pictures of themselves holding signs of lyrics to his popular song “Girl of My Dreams.”

McGinn, a K-State graduate, didn’t start writing music until 2009 when he missed his flight home from London, England. Deciding to make the most of it, he bought a guitar and even played at a few London venues. It was the fitting end to a study abroad trip that also included running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain! He writes inspirational music that can be appreciated by a wide audience range with his personalized lyrics and life experiences.

“I hope that my music and touring will inspire people from across the world to chase their dreams and do what they love,” says McGinn.

McGinn, born and raised in Sedgwick, KS is the son of State Senator Carolyn McGinn serving the start of her third term in the 31st district.
