Saint Paul School of Theology Announces Request for Proposals Process

Saint Paul School of Theology, a seminary of the United Methodist Church, plans to relocate its primary academic activities to the campus of the UM Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas in the fall of 2013.

The seminary's leadership is committed to ensuring the continued active use of the current 19 acre campus, located 4 minutes east of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. They are also committed to accommodating only redevelopment and reuse proposals that match or complement the school’s history and dedication to education, social justice and spiritual growth.

To achieve this goal, a Request for Proposals has been prepared to generate redevelopment and reuse proposals from organizations interested in utilizing all or a portion of the site and structures. The campus contains 10 academic, residential, and support buildings, and a chapel. The buildings comprise a total area of approximately 217,000 square feet.

A pre-submittal bidders conference and the opportunity to tour the campus and buildings will be held during the first week of February. Only qualified bidders may attend the conference.

In order to qualify as a prospective bidder, please state, on your organization’s letterhead, your organization’s mission and intended use of the Truman Road Property. Letters of Intent will be reviewed by the Truman Road Campus Committee. Upon approval of your letter of intent, you will receive an invitation to the Bidders Conference and Tour.

For additional information please contact Leigh Precise at 816-245-4819 or Letters of Intent should be submitted to Ms. Precise at the email address above or mailed to her attention at 5123 E. Truman Road, Kansas City, MO 64127.
