The Fieldhouse of Kansas City Plans Special Martin Luther King Jr. Day Youth Basketball and Motivational Camp The Fieldhouse Partners with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City to Provide Kids with a FREE Day of Programming to all Boys & Girls Club Members, and FREE Lunch
Overland Park, KS- The Fieldhouse of Kansas City, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City and Sam’s Club, presents the MLK Day Skills Camp, on Monday, January 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp is open to fourth grade students to high school students, girls and boys, and covers dynamic warm up, speed and agility, fastbreak fundamentals, ball handling, offensive and defensive footwork, structured skills scrimmaging, and much more! In addition, motivational and inspirational speeches and discussions will take place throughout the day.
The cost for this all day camp, designed to give kids a safe, healthy, and fun place to go while school is out for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, is only $5, and includes a hot lunch, courtesy of our local Sam’s Club locations.
Members of Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City will receive FREE admission to the camp.
While the main purpose of the camp is to have fun playing basketball and work on improving ball handling skills, it’s also a great way for The Fieldhouse to give back to the community, and welcome local youth from the Boys & Girls Club to the center for a fun, free, and safe day of structured play. Kids of all ages will have a blast during the morning skills session, lunchtime motivational speaker, and afternoon open gym.
