KANSAS CITY CHINESE CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR 2013 — The Year of the Snake

Overland Park, Kansas – January 14, 2013 – The Kansas City Chinese American Association (KCCAA), Edgar Snow Memorial Foundation, and KU Confucius will co-host one of their most popular annual events, the KC Chinese New Year Celebration (Spring Festival), on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Event sponsors include local companies like Black & Veatch, American Century, Stowers Institute, Waddell & Reed, Bo Ling’s Chinese Restaurant, and other organizations such as Johnson County Community College and the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago. KSHB41ActionNews will be the official TV Station for this event. 2013 KC Chinese New Year Celebration Gala Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturday, February 2, 2013 Place: Yardley Hall, JCCC (12345 College Blvd., Overland Park) A spectacular and diverse collection of ancient and contemporary Performing Arts with over 300 performers, 80-piece KC Youth Symphony, stunning aerial acrobats by Voler Thieves of Flights, special performance by West of Marrakesh Dance Troupe, classic and modern Chinese instruments, ballet/jazz/folk dances, and much more...
