Kansas City Rap artist Dj. Sexchun8 music garnered devoted underground following

Howard Steven Rice (born September 10,1971) also known by his stage name Dj. Sexchun8 (pronounced Dj. Section Eight) is an American Rapper from Kansas City Missouri. Over his career Rice has recorded thousands of singles his music has garnered a cult following of devoted underground fans. Rice has had Roles in motion picture films and found success in modeling .Rice appeared in the film, The Painting starring Clifton Davis, Charles Shaughnessy and Stacey Dash, Directed by Peter Manoogian, Joshua D. Rose as a featured extra. In this film Rice was a Stand in for actor Clifton Davis and a body double for actor Paul Taylor. His image has been used and viewed nationally and internationally in print media.

His stage name originated from an incident when he was awoke by the sound of a woman screaming. After investigating and finding the woman was screaming because she had just received her Section 8 voucher. He said" The only other time i heard a girl scream like that i was at a concert". the spelling Sexchun8 was a style flip given to him by rap artist K-million in 1999

Early in his career Rice was a member of a group formed in 1990 called KLOCKWIZE he saw glimmers of success as the group was offered a recording contract and shortly after the group disbanded. As a member of the group 3 Mad Africans Rice recorded a full length album (jungle Stompin 2000)but soon after the group disbanded.

Rice continues to perform record and release singles on his independent label Route 1 Publishing.
