Small Business Innovative Research Grant Workshop - The U.S. Government provides over $2 billion annually to hundreds of small, high-tech firms through the SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) and STTR (Small Business Tech Transfer and Research) programs. These programs are aimed at the development of early-stage, high-risk, high-payoff technologies in areas such as life sciences, information technology, manufacturing, defense, and homeland security. More than 1000 solicitations from various federal agencies are currently open. In this workshop learn more about these federal grant funding opportunities and how to apply for them. Presented by Don Colbert. Dr Colbert has over 30 years of experience involving research, education, business and management in a variety of industries. He currently is affiliated with KBA, and Heartland BioVentures focusing on enhancing all areas of federal funding to support technology-based economic development and innovation commercialization in Kansas.
