The 39th Annual Snow Ball benefiting Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas will be held on Saturday, January 19th which includes a reception, dinner and dancing.
“Through the generosity of our community, last year’s Snow Ball raised $1.6 million which allowed Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas to provide support and assistance to nearly 85,000 people in need,” said Charlie and Jeanne Haake, Snow Ball Presidents. “Join us on January 19th to help support the good work that Catholic Charities does to serve the poor and vulnerable in our community.”

What: A historic black tie gala benefiting Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas More than 1,750 guests, including many of Kansas City’s most influential leaders, will attend a night with cocktail reception, formal dinner and dancing into the night to Kokomo featuring Karen Davis on the main stage and Kerry Strayer in the reception lounge. Snow Ball is one of the largest philanthropic black-tie events in the Kansas City area and is the largest annual fundraiser of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas. All proceeds support families and individuals in need of basics like food, rent, utility assistance and more.
Catholic Charities Quick Facts: - Last year, 39,311 individuals benefited from the Emergency Assistance and Housing Program which helps to feed families, keep utilities running, pay rent and more.
Catholic Charities’ Shalom House offers a warm place to sleep and shower to up to 25 men every night. More than a night’s security, Shalom House offers case management to support clients as they move towards a stable situation.
With the support of Snow Ball, Catholic Charities can provide In-Home Support to fixed-income senior citizens who can safely stay within their homes and avoid institutionalization.
The agency is expanding its presence throughout its 21-county service area through the Resource Bus, a mobile Emergency Assistance Center allowing the agency to impact more individuals in need through case management, financial assistance and food.
