FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Beautiful Bodies Win Ernie Ball’s Warped Tour Battle of the Bands Kansas City, Missouri- January 7th, 2013-Friday night, Kansas City's dance punk band The Beautiful Bodies won the Ernie Ball's Warped Tour Battle of the Bands, "the world's largest and longest running Battle of the Bands." The contest featured 32,000 bands. The Beautiful Bodies made it past the first round this summer when they were one of 164 bands chosen to play their hometown date of the Warped Tour concert. Four of these bands were selected to play the at Hollywood's House of Blues Friday night with ska band Reel Big Fish. Each band played roughy a 30 minute set before the packed house, and a panel of judges, which included veteran producers, label representatives, and agents, crowned The Beautiful Bodies as the winners. The band's prize: tens of thousands of dollars of music equipment, an Ernie Ball instrument endorsement, a 3-song EP recorded by a multi-platinum producer, and a slot on next summer's Warped Tour.
