OVERLAND PARK, KS – January 7, 2013: Shawnee Mission West Theatre is proud to present “GUYS AND DOLLS!” January 31, February 1 and 2 at 7:00 PM in the SMWest auditorium. “GUYS AND DOLLS!” is a musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.

New York, the city that never sleeps. And within it, all human life. From the chorus girl, to the gambler to the missionary - all of them caught up in the teeming vitality of the streets. Into this setting we inject: Sergeant Sarah Brown, of the Save a Soul Mission, vainly trying to spread the Word, and make a difference to the sin and depravity of the streets. Adelaide, the showgirl, desperate to leave behind her seemingly glamorous lifestyle for a white picket fence and roses round the door. Nathan Detroit, trying to find yet another new location for his floating dice game, keeping just one short step ahead of the law and Adelaide. The gamblers themselves, eager for just one more roll, for that winning streak which will keep them ahead of the game. And the coolest, highest roller of them all, Sky Masterson, who would bet on anything that would turn him a profit – until he meets his match!.

The cast of “GUYS AND DOLLS!” includes: Alexander Martin as Sky Masterson, Makaela Terrance as Sarah Brown, Garrett Viets as Nathan Detroit, Trenna Keltner as Adelaide, Parker Vowels as Nicely Nicely Johnson, Houston St. John as Benny Southstreet, Ben Hower as Arvide Abernathy, Taylor Chubick as Rusty Charlie, Libby Flood as Gen. Cartwright, Codi Smith as Agatha, Katherine Riedel as Martha, Andy Larson as Big Julie, Seth Martin as Harry the Horse, Orodje Awasa as Lt.
