Bruce Cramer selected to the Board of Directors for the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Newhouse Domestic Shelter

KANSAS CITY, MO, December 2012 – In addition to his volunteer positions as a Board Member of the American Diabetes Association in Kansas City and the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, Bruce Cramer, President of Cramer Capital Management, has been named to the Board of Directors for two additional foundations, Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Newhouse Domestic Shelter.

“These are two very exciting opportunities,” stated Mr. Cramer. “They are two very strong and important foundations that share my passion of community based giving and involvement through education and accountability.”

The mission of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the Greater Kansas City by increasing charitable giving and educating and connecting donors to community needs they care about. The Foundation currently manages more than $1.1 billion in assets; houses more than 3,100 charitable funds established by individuals, families, and businesses; and has provided more than $2.1 billion in grants since its inception.

Newhouse Domestic Shelter strives to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing the tools wich allow women to make positive choices and lead self-sufficient lives. This is accomplished through diversity, integrity, education, and providing a safe and healthy environment for physical and emotional healing.
