Auction slated on New Year’s Day

January 1 auction provides entertainment and more; Two year anniversary of Andrew Turner Auctions

Kansas City, Mo. (December 14, 2012) – What are you doing on New Year’s Day? Sure, there are a lot of games and other good stuff on TV, and maybe you’re moving kind of slow, but shake off the cobwebs and start the New Year with something you’ve never done . . . go to an auction! Andrew Turner Auctions is hosting a special New Year’s Day event starting at 12:00 noon: 1801 Guinotte, KCMO, 64120.

“We’ll have all sorts of neat stuff up for bid,” said Andrew Turner, auctioneer. “Furniture, antiques, collectibles, local history, retro/vintage, artwork, militaria – and so much more.”

The Kansas City auction company regularly hosts weekly Thursday night consignment auctions.

“Nine out of ten hoarders agree – auctions are a good time,” joked Turner. “Really, it really can be quite an entertaining event: from determining what items you have may be worth, to people watching . . . it’s easy to see why auction based television programs are so popular.”

The auction starts at 12 noon on New Year’s Day with preview available after 11:00 am. Preview pictures and video will be available on the website: www.atakc.com. The auction house is located at 1801 Guinotte, KCMO, 64120 – off 3rd St. just east of City Market in the East Bottoms, one block south of the Isle of Capri Casino. The auction should be finished by 5:00 pm.

The auction is somewhat of a landmark for Tuner. “I hosted my first solo auction on New Year’s Day 2011,” said Turner. “It started off as a hobby and has turned into a full time gig.”
