B&B Theatres opens the Grain Valley Marketplace 8 featuring the B&B Grand Screen® one of the largest screens in all of Kansas City on December 19th! Ribbon cutting at 6:00pm and doors will opening immediately following. The first 100 people to line up on the red carpet will receive a free goodie bag! A new monument is gracing the skyline off I-70 HWY in Grain Valley, MO, just two minutes east of Adams Dairy Parkway.
The lofty 52-foot spire of the new B&B Theatres Marketplace 8 signals the arrival of the family-owned cinema company to the Grain Valley/Blue Springs area. Located just off highway I-70 and Main Street in Grain Valley, this 30,000 square foot theater is loaded with amenities for the whole family.
The Auditoriums and Lobby
With eight wall-to-wall curved screens, leather-style high-back rocker seats, and an Art-Deco theme throughout, the Marketplace 8 is already more than your average movie theater. Add to that the three 60” flat screen showtime displays in the lobby, a self-serve butter bar, and 18 inch XL stadium seating.
And we’re just getting warmed up.
The B&B Theatres Marketplace 8 will be the Kansas City area’s first theater boasting all-digital projection and Dolby 7.1 surround sound in every auditorium, guaranteeing the clearest audio and the crisp, clean, digital picture produced by Christie 2K projection equipment. That sound will be pumped through custom- speakers from JBL Audio, carrying sound over a greater distance without any loss of clarity or intelligibility.
The facility is also an XBRITE® certified theater, meaning that 3D presentations—which are typically dimmed down by polarizing lens screens—will remain as bright and clear as their 2D counterparts.
B&B GRAND SCREEN®
The icing on the cake is the monstrous B&B Grand Screen®. This 5-story-wide giant is bigger than a humpback whale and occupies the largest auditorium in the building. The Grand Screen® has larger seats than the rest of the auditoriums, boasting leather-style rockers over 24 inches wide. This massive screen, coupled with over 8,000 watts of 7.1 Dolby surround sound, RealD XBRITE 3D technologies, Christie digital-projection, and 18-inch stadium risers, creates an absolutely unforgettable experience at the movies.
Retro Nights and Classic Nights B&B Theatres will begin offering Retro Nights. These exciting evenings will feature famous movies from the past. Tickets will only be $5, and there will be a variety of fantastic films played monthly. The first Retro Night will be Thursday January 17th at 7pm and will feature E.T. This wonderful film will be a great way to kick off 2013 Retro Nights. Other 2013 retro nights will be announced soon!

As these limited vacancies fill up with other service-oriented businesses, the B&B Marketplace 8 will become more than just a fabulous new theater: it will become a destination, the place for family nights-out, first dates, special events and parties, or simply casual movie watching. B&B Theatres is proud of its continuing tradition of customer service excellence and is excited to offer the citizens of the Grain Valley, Oak Grove, and Blue Springs areas a cutting-edge theater where they can sit back, relax, and enjoy the magic of Hollywood in their hometown.
