BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF GREATER KANSAS CITY RECEIVES TOP HONOR AS “MAYTAG® DEPENDABLE CLUB” OF THE YEAR $150,000 Award Recognizes Club’s Exemplary Efforts and Dependability in Helping Youth Achieve Great Futures

KANSAS CITY, MO [December 10, 2012] – Maytag® brand and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) announce that Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City has been named a “2012 Maytag® Dependable Club” in recognition for its demonstrated commitment to dependability and dedication to keeping youth on the path to achieve great futures.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City was selected as one of 11 Clubs nationwide to receive the distinction and a $150,000 financial award to help deepen its impact in the community. The Club intends to use the one-time grant to continue the implementation of their new teen services program which includes the LIFE Coach teen mentoring program.
