Tallgrass Creek Residents Donate $48,079 to Show Appreciation to Their Hourly Staff for Jobs Well Done in 2012

OVERLAND PARK, KS (December 11, 2012) -- Residents of Tallgrass Creek retirement community in Overland Park, KS, have donated $48,079 to their campus’ Staff Appreciation Fund to show their appreciation to their hourly staff for jobs well done in 2012.

The money benefitted 94 hourly staff members from Dining Services, General Services, and the Medical Center. This fundraising drive among residents is done annually during the holiday season.

Tallgrass Creek, which has 300 residents, offers extensive wellness and prevention programs, balance assessment and fall prevention programs, and Fitness and Aquatics Center.

Also, there are more than 60 resident-inspired and resident-led clubs, committees and interest groups in these categories: art; cards; computers & technology; dance; faith-based and interfaith; film, fitness and sports; games; gardening; investments; lifelong learning; music; literature, philanthropy; political awareness; theater; woodworking; and writing.
