JCPRD January through April Catalog available after Nov. 26

The Johnson County Park & Recreation District's next Activities catalog will be available the week of Nov. 26. The 82-page free publication covers JCPRD programs and events offered between January and April.

Program offerings range from arts and crafts to sports to nature activities and include leagues, classes, seminars, workshops, and trips. Included are programs for infants through senior adults. Registration for classes in the next catalog will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26 The majority of programs start on or after Jan. 1. Winter special events in this issue include: Christmas Tree Recycling, The Weight of the Nation Public Forums, The Great Backyard Bird Count, two spring trout stockings at three district lakes, Spring Break Splash Bash, Kansas City Passport to Adventure, Breakfast and Bargain Bonanza, and many more.

Activities is mailed out to approximately 25,000 past participants who have taken part in a District program within the last year. Catalogs will also be available at Johnson County Library Branches, community centers, various businesses, and at District locations.

Updated JCPRD program listings and 24-hour online registration are available on the District's website at www.jcprd.com. Look for August through December program listings to be online the week of Nov. 26 as well.

The next issue of Activities , available in late March, will cover programs and events for the months of May through August, 2012 and will include the JCPRD's 2013 Guide to Camps & Clinics, which will also be available separately and online in late January.
