Kansas City Fashion Week announces hotel, radio sponsors

Kansas City, MO, November 19, 2012---

Kansas City Fashion Week, LLC announces two significant sponsors for the much anticipated Spring fashion showcase located at 28 Event Space downtown February 27 through March 3, 2013.

Hotel Phillips has been named the official hotel sponsor and headquarters for Kansas City Fashion Week for the second consecutive season. “We were very pleased with our relationship with Hotel Phillips this past fall and are excited to announce they will continue to join us in our efforts to promote the arts in Kansas City, hopefully for the foreseeable future,” commented KCFW Executive Director Teisha Barber. Hotel Phillips is located in the heart of downtown and is host to KCFW designer interviews, model castings, photo shoots and runway rehearsals.

Kansas City Fashion Week is excited to announce a new collaboration with 99.7 The Point (KZPT-FM) radio station. 99.7 The Point, one of the newest radio stations on the Kansas City scene, is one of the top radio stations in the Kansas City area. “We couldn’t be more pleased to be partnered with this radio station. The growth they’ve shown since their establishment is paralleled to the growth of Kansas City Fashion Week. Our demographics and visions for Kansas City are aligned and we are confident 99.7 The Point will help us expand our reach beyond the Kansas City limits,” stated Barber.

A collaboration between KCFW and 99.7 The Point will offer opportunities for Kansas City listeners to win VIP fashion week tickets, as well as enter into free online contests. “We’re excited to announce our new partnership with our friends at KC Fashion Week,” said Tony Lorino, 99.7 The Point Program Director. “We may not have the reputation for being as fashionable as New York, Paris, or London, but collaborating on this project together helps bring a little of that experience right here to Kansas City. Our listeners love hearing about, learning, and seeing first hand some of the fun fashions and accessories that will be on display – so we’ll all start practicing our strut for the catwalk in anticipation for the show this Spring.”
