Comfort Plus Shoes announces partnership with Community Blood Center

Comfort Plus Shoes Announces Partnership with Community Blood Center Metro’s premier pedorthic shoe retailer will hold life-saving blood drive Kansas City, Mo. (November 14, 2012)--Comfort Plus Shoes is partnering with Community Blood Center (CBC) to help save lives this holiday season. CBC is the local not-for-profit organization that provides life-saving blood for hospital patients at 70 hospitals in both Kansas and Missouri. The organization looks for quality partnering organizations that have an interest in giving back and sharing their resources with the community at-large. Luis Altoro and business partner, Ruth Gold of Comfort Plus Shoes are excited about the opportunity to help save lives with a blood drive. “Our company is and always has been about providing great products and exemplary service and knowledge about shoes to our customers; by partnering with Community Blood Center, we’re now going to provide a quality and meaningful gift of life for hospital patients in our area when we hold the blood drive.” The blood drive at Comfort Plus Shoes will take place on December 31st at the Comfort Plus Shoes retail location at 11715 Roe Avenue in Leawood, Kansas during the store’s monthly event. To make this event successful and worthwhile, Community Blood Center and Comfort Plus Shoes need a minimum of 25 blood donors. To entice and encourage Comfort Plus Customers to come out that day, CBC has created a great promotional offering for blood donors. All donors who register to donate will have an opportunity to a Spirit of Giving Getaway Package which includes overnight accommodations at the InterContinental Hotel in the Country Club Plaza and a $250 Country Club Plaza Gift Card. Additional prizes include gift card to major retailers in the $50 and $25 amounts. Donors can get up to two entries by booking their blood donation appointment online at www.savealifenow.org, click the “Schedule An Appointment” icon and when prompted enter Sponsor Code: CPS and then by completing the registration process to donate their life-saving blood on December 31st at the blood drive.
