Weinand leads Landscape Architectural Services

November 15, 2012 – Shafer, Kline & Warren, Inc. (SKW), a regional firm offering land surveying, landscape architecture, land planning, engineering and construction observation services is pleased to announce:

Chad Weinand, PLA, LEED AP, has joined SKW as a Landscape Architect where he is responsible for leading the firm’s design of outdoor spaces. Weinand’s experience includes site assessment, cost analysis, public meetings, preliminary and final landscape plans, best management practices (BMPs), irrigation system design, bidding assistance and construction inspection.

Weinand brings to SKW a professional resume which combines time spent in the golf course architecture field, as a parks and recreation consultant where he prepared designs and strategic master plans, and most recently, as account manager with a local wholesale nursery, where he worked closely with commercial landscape contractors. Weinand is a licensed professional landscape architect, LEED accredited professional and member of the American Society of Landscape Architects – Prairie Gateway Chapter. He earned his bachelor of landscape architecture degree from Kansas State University. Weinand is a resident of Olathe and works from SKW’s office in Lenexa.
