Price Chopper to thank veterans with discount on fuel

(Prairie Village, Kan.)…Price Chopper will honor Kansas City veterans with special savings at the gas pump this Veterans Day. On Sunday, November 11, veterans can stop by any Metro Price Chopper store and get a $.25 per gallon discount off their next fill up at QuikTrip (up to 20 gallons). This bonus reward for veterans is part of Price Chopper’s Fuel REWARDS program, launched in October 2010.

“Everyone at Price Chopper greatly appreciates the sacrifice our veterans have made for our country,” says Casie Broker, Director of Marketing for Price Chopper. “We are pleased to offer this bonus fuel reward for a third year as a way to thank and honor Kansas City’s veterans.”

•Veterans need to bring their Chopper Shopper REWARDS card and either their VA card, VFW card, DD214 or other Veterans ID to any Price Chopper store on Nov. 11. •The cashier will load the $.25/per gallon reward onto his/her Chopper Shopper REWARDS card (no purchase necessary). •If a veteran does not have a REWARDS card, he/she can sign up for one in store, free of charge. •Veterans can only earn the bonus reward on Nov. 11, but can redeem it at QuikTrip until the end of 2012.
