Chamber Reaches 1,000 Member Milestone The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce has hit the four digit mark. As of October 31 the Lee’s Summit Chamber can celebrate being 1,000 members strong.

“Achieving our goal for 1,000 members is a great accomplishment for our Chamber and community as a whole,” says Chamber President Nancy Bruns. “We take pride in the fact that our members see the value of belonging to our organization, and support the work that we do. It feels good to have 1,000 members, but what makes it great is the quality of members that we have.”

Bruns continued on to state that this goal could not have been reached without the leadership of the Chamber’s Director of Member Services, Cathy Young, the Board of Directors and countless volunteers that make up the organization.

“I am thrilled that we have reached this milestone, and I believe this validates the work of our organization and staff” says Chair of the Board Diane Forte. “In this economy every money decision counts. People want to know the individuals they are doing business with and the Chamber provides the opportunity to build those relationships.”

The Chamber looks forward to celebrating with its members at a luncheon on November 16. As a reward for reaching this milestone, the Chamber will be giving away $1,000 via three drawings for member recruiters, who were instrumental in making this achievement possible.
