Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus (MDPAAC) held the 1st Annual General Assembly Meeting yesterday on April 4th of 2009. MD Alam, the founder of the MDPAAC elected as the Chairperson of Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus for next four years tearm. The Party called the general assembly meeting for the 1st annual convention and for the first general meeting.MDPAAC 1ST ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING: Jason Holsman, Missouri State of House Representative is giving speech during the 1st annual general assembly meeting of Missouri democratic Party Asian American caucus on 4th April 2009, Meeting took place at Loma Vista Community Center Club House in Kansas City, Missouri, USA - Picture by: Ahmad Rahman The general assembly meeting took place in Kansas City, Missouri at Loma Vista Community Center Club House. The meeting was scheduled 6:00 - 9:00 PM. MD Alam called the meeeting to order and Dr. Abdul Akram was the Moderator of the programs.
MDPAAC 4-4-2009: MDPAAC MEETINGGeneral members of Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus voted to elect their new statewide leaderships for the next four years. Before the voting Dr. Abdul Akram presented a Power Point Slides about a brief overview of MDPAAC including the goals, mission statemnet and the acheivements of MDPAAC for the past year while last presidential election took place. MDPAAC regulated a sucessful general voting and elected their new leaderships.
Jason Holsman, Missouri State House of Representative - District 45, attended the 1st annual general assembly meeting of MDPAAC and delivered his speech as the keynote speaker. Jason Holsman asked all the citizens to be united under the unique values of Democratic party. Holsman welcomed MD Alam and his new statewide Board of Directors. In his speech Holsman discussed about the stimulas packet of Presidnet Obama and emphasis on some on going issues that have been in the US House floor and under the debeat between the Democrats and Republicans. Holsman geartly emphsized on Healthcare benifits, Education and Schools, Senior Citizen benifits and as well as the Homeless and Shelters issues. Holsman asked MD Alam and his Board of Directors to work closely and colloboratively with the statewide Democratic Leaderships. Mr. Holsman asked MDPAAC to support and participate senetorial campaign activities for Missouri Democtratic Senetor candidate Robin Carhanan for the upcomming election in 2010. Holsman thanked President Obama and Joe Biden and their administration for the hard work. Holsman asked MDPAAC Leaderships and all the general members to start campgain door to door for the best outcome of the election. Finally Holsman meet with MDPAAC Board of Directors and attended dinner with the MDPAAC general members.
MDPAAC MEETING IMAGES: Theresa Gurza Ruiz is giving her speechTheresa Garza Ruiz, the Jackson County Legislator attended the meeting and presented her valuable speech in the general assembly meeting of MDPAAC. Theresa Garza Ruiz welcomed the newly elected Board of Directors of MDPAAC and asked everyone to work closely so handle political issues and activities in a effective way that will have a great impact in our political movements. Mrs. Ruiz especially thanked MD Alam for becoming the legend of the Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus and assured 100% support of MDPAAC for any type of legislator issues. Mrs. Ruiz accompained with her husband Genaro Ruiz and their daughter. Ruiz family joined the dinner with state representative Jason Holsman.
MDPAAC MEETING - JESSICA PODHOLA: Jessica Podhola in MDPAAC MeetingJessica Podhola, Executive Director of the Jackson County Democratic Committee joined the 1st Annual General Assembly Meeting of MDPAAC. Jessica Podhola gave her delightedfull welcome speech and welcomed the MDPAAC Board of Directors. Ms. Jessica thaked MD Alam and explained to all general members of MDPAAC that how closely MD and her been working hard in the past. Jessica Podhola put the election motion on the floor and the motion passed and carried in all favour by the general members open votings. Jessica asked the community members to support MD Alam and the MDPAAC to have sucess in the political process. She announced and invite everone to attend the Truman Day will be sponsoring by Jackson County Democrats on May 1st and 2nd at the Westin Crown center in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. As the Executive Director of Jackson County Democratic Committee, Jessica promised and gave assurance of every kinds of supports and colloborative works and activities of JCDC and MDPAAC. Jessica joined Holsman and Theresa for the dinner and enjoyed the food with Asian American Democratic Leaders.
SHERE ALAM, MDPAAC ORGANIZING SECRETARY: Shere Alam MDPAAC Organizing Secretary is giving his Speech - 4/4/2009, Kansas City, Missouri, USAShawn Pierce, the Executive Director of MDPAAC announced MDPAAC new Board of Directors and thanked all the general members and community members for joining the meetings. Dr. Abdula Akram started the meeting as the Moderator and he hand over the meeting to Shawn Pierce after the decleration of the Election results. Dr. Abdul Akram elected as the 1st Vice Chair Person and he thanked the community members for electing him as the 1st vice chairperson. Rushdy A El-Ghussein elected as the 2nd Vice Chairperson and he asked everyone to support him and the MDPAAC. Daniel Jrulewich elected as the Treasurer and due to his health issue he was not able to attend the assembly.
