UMKC hosts N.E.R.D concert

N.E.R.D: From front to back: N.E.R.D group members Pharell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley.Kansas City, MO, April 11, 2009 .The famous group N.E.R.D also known as the Neptunes will be performing at UMKC with opener the Clipse. The concert is sponsored by the University’s Activity and Program Council (APC) to bring on-campus entertainment for the students and the community. The cost for UMKC students is $5 and non-UMKC students is $27.50. For tickets call Central Ticket Office at 816.235-6222. The show will be held at UMKC’s Swinney Recreation Center (5030 Holmes Kansas City, MO 64110). The doors open at 6PM; show begins at 7PM.
This year APC Presents: N.E.R.D, a rock and alternative hip-hip group of three men fronted by Pharell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley. The featured artists Clipse consists of two brothers, Malice and Pusha T. Clipse was founded by Pharell Williams, who produced their first CD. These men have held sold-out concerts across the nation.
