Community Recycling Center Open in Grandview

FWI recently opened a modern, clean and safe recycling center to serve South Kansas City and Grandview. The Community Recycling Center is located at 4280 Main St. in Grandview, MO and operates from 8am-3pm daily, excluding Wednesdays and Sundays. Accepted items include cardboard, chip board, which includes items such as cereal boxes, aluminum cans and foil, tin cans, magazines, white paper, mixed paper, which includes items such as junk mail, phone books and construction paper, books, newspaper, plastic #1 and #2, clothing and shoes. Prohibited items include glass of any kind, hazardous materials, and yard or organic waste.

The Community Recycling Center offers a new twist to the recycling industry by employing persons with developmental disabilities. Visitors will be greeted and helped by friendly and knowledgeable FWI employees and supervisory staff. In addition to drop-off service at the Community Recycling Center, FWI also provides business recycling pick-up services.
