LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo – The Missouri National Guard is offering a weekend situational awareness course that focuses on common sense protective measures, including self defense. The course, which is free to the public, is geared toward high school and college-age students with information that will allow them to be proactive when it comes to their own safety and well-being.

Save the date! On Thursday, April 8 from 7-9 pm, Ms. Pamela, from Ko's Black Belt Academy (Leawood), and Momtourage are teaming up to teach a discipline and self defense workshop. The workshop will consist of hands-on practice of disciplining children and how to protect yourself and your child if ever necessary. A $20 donation is requested and will be distributed to a local women's domestic abuse shelter. Wear comfortable clothing.
